Go into all the world…(Mark 16:15 KJV)
The words of Jesus spoken to the disciples proceeding His ascension into Heaven were not mere words of inspiration nor were they a loose challenge. His words, potent as they were, were a clear command to every believer; every disciple to be moved to action. We are commanded to GO…take the Gospel to the World. Alas, this is an area of ministry that many are fearful of, procrastinate in responding to or just willing to perpetually ignore.
Let’s emphasize what GO should mean to the believer. Firstly, to give you a clearer context by which GO will be highlighted, picture a race. When a runner hears GO at the start of a race, he or she responds with urgency and determination. So should our response be to GO impact nations with the Gospel – the work of missions – with urgency and determination.
Our response should be…
To PRAY… Pray for laborers to be sent into the vineyard. Pray for God’s direction in your life concerning your involvement with missions work – seek to know how you can better support missions projects. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of His people on the field to receive His word. Commit to covering the missions team with prayer – pray for a fresh anointing, safety, health, strength, and favor.
To GIVE… Give to the work of missions. Mt Sinai COGIC actively supports missions in 5 countries (Brazil, Philippines, South Africa, Haiti, and India). When you generously support Mt Sinai COGIC in the area of missions, you further our reach to preach the Gospel and minister physical health to countless individuals in need around the globe.
To GO… Prayerfully consider joining the Mt Sinai COGIC Missions Team in any upcoming missions trip. There are several opportunities to serve God’s people on the field from teaching workshops to providing food and clothing to working in our medical clinics.
