About Mt. Sinai COGIC

Mt Sinai Church of God in Christ was founded in 1951 by Superintendent Pleas and Mother Jessie Thomas in Pomona, California. The church experienced rapid growth early in the inception of the ministry. New church property was purchased and was dedicated by Church of God in Christ founder, Bishop Charles Harrison Mason in 1957. The ministry continued to expand demanding the need for new development. A new sanctuary was dedicated by then, Jurisdictional (Presiding) Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr., in February 1987. Appointed in July 2002 by Bishop Blake, Bishop Terence P. Rhone leads this congregation by providing pastoral support through powerful preaching, dynamic family oriented ministries, life-changing community outreach and world missions.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
