January 2021 Consecration Schedule and Prayer Focuses Posted January 4, 2021 By MtSinaiCOGIC

In January of each year, we gather for a special time of prayer and consecration, giving God our first fruits of the year. This year, we will begin our annual consecration on Monday, January 4 and will conclude on Saturday, January 23, at the conclusion of our annual shut-in. Below, please find specifics for this time of consecration.

  1. We will be fasting to 3:00 p.m. each day. Please don’t feel bad if you can’t make it all the way through. Just make sure you give God your best. You’re certainly welcome to drink  juices.
  • On Sundays we will have a day of rest. You may have breakfast.
  • For those that were diabetic, you may have to modify your fasting. Please contact the pastor for suggestions. Also please take your medication. We have never condoned abstinence from medication during a consecration.
  • We will gather each evening at 7:00 p.m. for prayer on Zoom.  To join the prayer, please dial (646) 558-8656, and enter Meeting ID: 746-724-2701.
  • We will be in Virtual Revival on January 14th and 15th at 7:00 p.m. The revival will be streamed on our media platforms: the website, Facebook Live, and YouTube Live.  (Speakers be announced).
  • Virtual shut in-Friday, January 22 beginning at 12 noon and ending in 12 midnight. We will be the prayer line every three hours. (12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m., 9 p.m., and 12 a.m.)

Consecration Prayer Focuses 2021

1. We are praying that God would help us to stay focused. We are asking God to deliver us from every distraction (i.e.: pettiness, confusion, the spirit of offense, jealousy, the passions of the flesh, etc.) that would hinder us from walking in total victory.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossian 3:1-2 (KJV)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 (KJV)

2. We are asking the Lord to teach us how to abide in Him. We pray that through abiding in Him we may become fruitful (maximally productive) in reaching souls with the Gospel message.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:5-8 (KJV)

3. We are asking God to heal the land of this pandemic. We are also asking that as he sends healing to the land that he will also send a mighty revival that will awaken the church . We are asking the Lord to empower us to impact our community and our world (our Oikos) with the message of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Ghost.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. John 4:34-35 (KJV)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:15-18 (KJV)
