October 2020 Prayer Focuses Posted October 15, 2020 By MtSinaiCOGIC

We are asking the lord to help us to hear His voice in this pandemic season. We are seeking His face that we may know what the Lord is saying to the world, to the church and to us individually that we may walk in total obedience to His Word and His will.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelations 2:29 (KJV)

But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

I Corinthians 2:8 (AMP)

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

John 10:27, 28 (KJV)

We are praying for our new President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris. We are praying for an orderly transition of power. We pray that God will give them wisdom to lead our nation to recovery from the pandemic. We pray that God will touch their hearts to fight to protect our First Amendment right to worship and to preach the Gospel without threat of prosecution or penalty.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1 Timothy 2:1-3 (KJV)

We are praying that God will heal the land and send a life changing revival. We pray a fresh anointing that will empower us to impact our community and our world (our Oikos) with the message of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Ghost.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Ephesians 5:18, 19 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.  Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

John 4:34, 25 (KJV)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Mark 16:15-18 (KJV)
